Normally, wireless chargers are tad slow for charging my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but the ChoeTech wireless fast charger T511-S is going to change all that. It promises to charge your device as fast as a wired quick charge 2.0 charger but it does it wirelessly which is nice.

Shown below in the following picture is my LG V10 as I took my Galaxy Note 5 to take this picture. When you place your smartphone on ChoeTech wireless fast charger T511-S, the LED on the charger will glow green to show that it is charging the device. This also shows that quick charging is being done. You can buy it for mere $24 on amazon.

It might glow blue if the phone is not doing fast charging. I love the build quality and its ergonomic design. I also like how thin and light it is. It still holds its place nicely as it has sticky pads that ensure it doesn’t slide around.

You can now root SM-N920 version of Samsung Galaxy Note 5. For this you require TWRP Note 5 custom recovery and one of these models, SM-N920C / CD / G / I, SM-N9200 and SM-N9208_SEA. I have been told that SM-N9208_TW works as well but I have not tested it. Rooting instructions are given below.

1. If you have systemless root installed, then you must REMOVE it as this kernel will auto-root a proven and stable 2.52 binary into system.
   

   Open SuperSU app
   Select "Full unroot" option
   Reboot (or flash kernel)
   Re-install SuperSU app

2. Uninstall any CPU control apps, tweaks and init.d scripts etc.
3. Recommend: Disable or remove KNOX (you can disable with Synapse once kernel is flashed)
4. Install Synapse app from Google Play and rate it ☆☆☆☆☆ !!
5. Device Settings:
   

   Enable Developer Options > OEM UNLOCK
   If flashing from any custom kernel with Synapse app > Device settings > Applications > Synapse > Force Stop > clear data

6. If not installed > Install SuperSU from Google Play:
7. N9200/N9208: unlock your bootloader >> Install and run CROM service unlock app from Galaxy App Store (this will probably wipe your accounts). If you have problems with CROM, try without it !

2) open Recovery Mode on device. ( Home + volume Up + Power)
3) Do a full wipe. (Data + System + Cache + Dalvik Cache)
4) Select "cm_treltexx-ota-765ef3442c.zip” file when start a setup.
5) When it finish process,  you reboot your device.
6) process completed.

While this CM13 release is deemed as stable, we still suggest sticking to stock if you are looking for more stable experience. CM13 brings android 6 marshmallow to the Note 4 and there is nothing better than CyanogenMod 13.0 to enjoy android 6.0 on note 4.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, you can flash this hack. This will show you the incoming messages as floating window. It does not look like a typical android message and it has options like reply, mark as read and delete. You can also dismiss the message by tapping on the cross icon.

To enable floating messages, download this file on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and install it using TWRP custom recovery. Then open “floating messages” and enable it for “messaging”.

You can also set the transparency level here. As you can see, I’ve set it to 48 and it looks absolutely stunning.

Keep in mind that since it makes use of TWRP, you will be voiding your phone’s warranty since it tinkers with internal files. You will also receive no more official updates. On the brighter side, you will be able to install just about any ROM or mods out there.

I’ve tested on Dr Ketan’s Note 5 ROM and it works like a charm.

Cosmic OS for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has been released. This custom ROM is made on android open source project whose short form is AOSP. Its developer claims that he has further tweaked it for best performance battery life enhancements.

Keep in mind that the first boot will take some time and it is completely normal for your device to loop a few times. Developer does mention that there is no guarantee that it will work normally if you use a custom kernel.

Samsung released the Galaxy note 1 back in 2011 and it is interesting to note that there is still a plenty of development going for it. Infact, you can download the latest android 7 nougat for it thanks to folks behind Lineage OS that was launched a firmware for it. If you running stock Samsung ROM, follow these steps.

1.flash N7000ZSLR1_N7000OZSLR1_BRI (or any other other 4.1.2) stock rom using odin
2.Copy Rom + Google Apps to your sdcard.
3.flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 to get cwm recovery by using odin or mobile odin
4. boot into recovery
5. flash this kernel to get an updated recovery
(this step will make your old rom unbootable stuck in the n7000 screen but you can boot into recovery with press and hold "home" and "volume+" buttons and power on your phone)
6. you need to reboot! your device now to recovery
7. you are now in the updated recovery and you need to do a factory reset + format the /system partition
8. you can now install the rom and gapps and reboot your device.

If you are having problem installing application, we suggest doing a repartition your phone and make more space. Just replace the files used in step 16 with the one we used for cm14/android7.

To enable root on N7000 in this ROM, follow these steps.

1. Go to Settings-About phone and tip 7 times on Build number to enable the Developer options
2. Go to Settings-Developer options-Root access and set it to Apps and ADB

First on our list is Modern Combat 5. Developed by Gameloft, it is a first person shooter game and one of the best high definition games for the Note 5. You play the game in mesmerizing locations and get to choose from wide variety of weapons. You start off with couple of weapons and unlock one by one in each level. Modern Combat 5 is resource hungry and requires a high end phone like Galaxy Note to get decent framerates.

Second game on our list is Fifa 16. As its title suggests, you play football in it. Next game on our list is NOVA 3. Like modern combat, it too is an FPS shooter with Sci-Fi theme. It is incredibly graphic intensive which is expected since it is made by Gameloft as well which are the same people behind modern combat game series.

The gameplays involves you playing as a soldier whose main job is to kill the aliens who are here to rule over the earth. You get all sorts of cool weapons. We love its multiplayer feature where you play with other players from around the world to kill those pesky aliens.

There is a paid version of this game as well and it is called NOVA 3 Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance.

Other honorable mentions include Real Racing 3 which is car racing game with realistic game graphics. The new update brings a ton of new cars and improved gaming engine. Another amazing game is dead trigger 2 which is developed by zombie-killing.

We have been informed about the Android 7 Nougat ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 android phone. This ROM is based on AOSP which means there is no Samsung TouchWiz user interface. This is great for those who are looking for vanilla experience on their android phone. Substratum is fully compatible.

Keep in mind that the first boot will take some time and it might even loop for few times. Just make sure not to use any custom kernel with this Android 7 Nougat ROM.

Keep in mind that there is no default music player onboard so use something like blackplayer, folder player or musixmatch.

If you heart vanilla software, then you will love the AICP ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100. It is based on lollipop firmware which was actually never released for this Samsung Galaxy Note. Samsung halted all development after releasing official android 4.4.2 for N7100. The developer ported it from another device and made it work with the Note 2 drivers. To flash this AICP ROM, you will need Note 2 TWRP custom recovery and it is also strongly recommended that you fully wipe your device before doing a flash and avoid restoring system applications and data with something like Titanium backup for android phones as that can work against stability for your phone.

Here are the flashing instructions for AICP ROM for the N7100. First download the ROM from here and put it in microSD. Then boot into N7100’s custom recovery and flash the firmware from there. Gapps are absent and must be installed before boot. So flash them after installing ROM.

For flashing the ROM, both TWRP and CWM work. Developer says that until android lollipop, he used to make ROMs that were AOKP but were later changed since folks at AOKP halted all development. He says that if the developers behind make a comeback, he will get back to AOKP but for now, the base has been changed to cyanogenmod.
